The image “http://www.accesrail.com/images/Flam.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Flam railway is one of the Norway's new private railways, offering a dramatic and scenic journey, linking Myrdal, the high mountain station on the Bergen line with Flam at the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord. The journey is 12 miles long with a descent of 2.838 feet down a uniquely steep gradient. The train, traveling slowly to cope with the steep gradient, passes through tunnels and by waterfalls. The trains take approximately 1 hour, stopping at the most scenic spots and connecting at Myrdal with most day trains running to Oslo and Bergen.

Flam railway runs a winter timetable until 30 April each year. The frequency at this time is 4 departures Flam - Myrdal – Flam daily and increases again for the summer season with 8 daily departures from 21 may to 11 June and from 12 June until 18 September, there are 10 daily departures.

Booking classes

Only standard class is available - booking class Y Seat reservations are not required and are not available for individual travelers.

Group bookings

Special group fares are available for groups of 10 and more pax. Please create a group PNR and enter OSI message in order to get confirmation of a group fare.
